The tools enable users to better assess the security of their nest egg and to make intelligent choices to fully enjoy what should be the best years of their lives. We also operate the industry's premiere reverse mortgage and life settlement* services with proprietary calculators and products for each, and have a team of trained counselors to help seniors better understand the products and evaluate whether they are right for them. We are here to answer the questions, to calculate the possibilities, and to help you privately and easily compare financial options. And, we are here to do much more, like pointing you to better ways to manage retirement income, payments and overall budgets.

Eric Bachman, CEO and Founder
Eric Bachman founded Golden Gateway Financial in 2006 after 20+ years of managing and building financial service companies. He recognized the need for a company that would offer clear and unbiased financial information for seniors and would help them to compare products easily, without sales pressure. Eric brings years of experience from US Bank, Wells Fargo, and Dean Witter. He holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. Eric and his family live in Oakland, CA.
Katherine McLain, Esq., General Counsel
Katherine McLain brings 20+ years experience in the financial industry, including senior roles at Entrust, Wells Fargo, and Fremont Bank. She holds multiple state broker licenses, including CA. Katherine is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the Santa Clara University School of Law. She is a San Francisco native and lives in Castro Valley, CA with her family.
William Stephens, CIO
William is responsible for all aspects of Golden Gateway's IT infrastructure and application development, support and maintenance, including data management and security. William brings a broad range of experience in technology and information applications from banking, financial services and direct to consumer businesses. Prior to joining, William has held senior roles at companies such as Accenture, and PayByTouch. William holds two degrees from Stanford University. William and his family live in Oakland.
Julie McNelley, SVP Product Management
Julie brings years of experience in the fraud prevention and payments industry. Prior to Golden Gateway, Julie was VP of Product Solutions at Early Warning Services, LLC, a company that helps banks and credit unions prevent over $1 billion per year in payment and identity fraud. Julie holds a BA from the Michigan State University Honors College, and an MA from Monterey Institute of International Studies. Julie and her family live in Oakland, CA.
